Questions buyers ask

How often are prices and stock checked?

Shelf stock at every Micro Center store is checked about every 30 minutes; Best Buy, Newegg, Amazon, B&H and the other retailers every few hours. Each card shows its lowest in-stock new price, and every change is kept for the price history.

What does “above MSRP” mean?

It compares a card's price with NVIDIA's launch price for its GPU. Partner cards with bigger coolers or factory overclocks often launch above it, so a few percent over MSRP can still be a fair price.

Is a partner card better than a Founders Edition?

They use the same GPU. Partner cards differ in cooling, noise, clocks, length, slot width and power connector. Use the size, cooling and power filters to find one that fits your case and power supply.

What power supply do I need?

Each card lists its maker's recommended PSU wattage and power connector. Most RTX 40 and 50 series cards above the entry level use the 12V-2x6 (12VHPWR) connector, native on ATX 3.x power supplies.

What's the difference between open box and refurbished?

Open-box cards are returns resold at a discount, mostly in Micro Center stores. Refurbished cards are inspected and repaired by the manufacturer and usually carry a shorter warranty.
